I build things with AI and write about what I learn. I lead analytics and AI systems at Solace Health, one of the fastest-growing companies in America, where I helped build our data layer, did the data science behind the AI systems the company runs on, and built our team’s context layer from the ground up.

My background is in academia, where I did graduate research for NASA’s Europa Clipper mission. Then I left to build, and started and led my own company for three years.

I build things with AI and write about what I learn.

I spent most of my early career in academia. My dream was to work for NASA, and as a PhD student at Arizona State University I got to do graduate research on the Europa Clipper mission, on the MASPEX team. I sat in rooms with the scientists running the mission, which still feels a little unreal.

But I wanted to get out and build. So I left and started my own company, Klein Training App: a mobile app that gave athletes personalized strength and conditioning programs. I ran it for three years.

Then I joined Solace Health, right after its Series B, on a small data team running dashboards on a raw warehouse. Since then I’ve helped grow it into an AI-native function. I helped our analytics engineers build the data layer, did the design and data science behind the AI systems the company runs its quality assurance and billing integrity on, and built a context layer, end to end, that gives every analyst’s AI the team’s knowledge.

I think those three pieces are the whole story: a scientist’s habit of testing everything, a founder’s scrappiness, and what I’ve learned helping a company scale. Data is how I got here, not where I’m stopping.

What I want is simple to say and hard to do: work on the hardest problems with real stakes, alongside the best problem solvers I can find.
